Mary E. Stults

SANFORD — Mary Elizabeth Stults, beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, was laid to rest on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011, in Portland, after a long illness.
Mary was born on May 18, 1953, in Westbrook, the daughter of Albert and Lillian (Sayward) Stults. She was a graduate of Windham High School, in the Class of 1971.
Mary will be sadly missed by her family and friends, including her best friend Charlene. She is now with her parents and others that have gone before her.
She is survived by her children, Michelle L. Lightner of California, Michael V. Hietikko of Parsonsfield and Lindsey M. Hietikko of Springvale; two sisters, Beverly McCarthey of Raymond and Catherine Taylor of Cosby, Tenn.; two brothers, Albert Stults Jr. of Casco and Roland Stults of Florida; and three grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, Sept. 17, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Autumn Green Funeral Home at 47 Oak Street, in Alfred. A service was held on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, at 2 p.m., at the Alfred Parish Church with Chaplain Beverly Brant officiating. There was a reception at the church following the service for friends and family to gather and share memories of Mary.
