Mary E. Philbrook, 72

WEST PARIS  — Mary Esther (French) Philbrook, 72, a longtime resident of Naples, formerly of Lebanon, N.H., died Saturday, Jan. 12 after a long illness.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 55 years, David Philbrook; her daughters, Lynn Theriault of Naples and Marina Geneseo of Harrison; her grandsons, Alex Theriault and Aron Theriault, both of Naples; her granddaughters, Alicia McConkey of Carrboro, N.C. and Stacey McConkey of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Mary spent several years working as a commercial advertising layout artist, and as a cook and kitchen manager for Red and White Foods, Long Lake Lodge and Snowe School in Fryeburg. She loved photography and working with the elderly and children. She became a Certified Bob Ross Oil Painting Instructor, and taught classes for young and old. Her love of painting was evident in her work and she gave that love to many of her students.

Cremation will take place through Chandler Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 8 Elm Street, Bridgton. There will be no viewing hours. Burial ceremony will take place in Crooked River Cemetery in Naples in the spring. Online condolences may be shared with her family at www.chandlerfunerals.com
