Mary C. Logan, 95

Mary Logan

CASCO — Mary C. Logan passed peacefully at Country Village Assisted Living in Casco, on Sunday evening, April 29, 2018, at the age of 95.

Mary was born in Denville, N.J., the third of nine children. After graduating from high school, she assembled munitions at Picatinny Arsenal during World War II. Mary and her devoted husband of 60 years, Chester, raised their six children in New Jersey. After Mary retired from working as a doctor’s receptionist, she and Chet moved to nearby Pennsylvania, where they were active members of AARP. They moved to Maine in 2002 to be near many of their children.

Chester died in 2004.

Mary is survived by three siblings, Hank of Colorado, Joe of South Carolina and Jen of New Jersey; her children, Tom of Cape Elizabeth and Brownville, Patricia of Otisfield, Gerard of Montville, N.J., James of Buxton, Marybeth of Cape Elizabeth and Matthew of Bar Mills; nine grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; good friends at CVAL; and much love. As she often said, “I’ve had a good life.”

A Funeral Mass will be offered for Mary at the Community of the Resurrection in Casco, and she will be laid to rest next to her beloved Chester at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta.

Those wishing to honor Mary may make donations in her name to Country Village Assisted Living Activities Fund, P.O. Box 600, Casco, ME 04015.
