NAPLES — Mary A. Bennett, 96, of Lewis Rd., died Tuesday evening at the Casco Inn. She was born in Naples, a daughter of Frank O. Pitts and Margaret E. Rogers. Mary was a proud graduate of Bridgton Academy in 1934. She married Gordon Bennett in 1944. He died in 1979.

Mary especially enjoyed going out to eat. Each year she looked forward to the Harrison Old Home Days, often staying from open to close each day. Mary was a lifetime member of the Edes Falls Sewing Circle.

Surviving are three sons, Wayne, Hugh and Gary; three daughters, Janice Wilson, Peggy Bennett and Ruth Nichols; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, at the Edes Falls Cemetery in Naples. Following the service there will be a gathering at the Pitts farm at 608 Harrison Road in Naples. Arrangements are by Hall Funeral Home, Casco.
