Marsha K. Westberry, 69

WINDHAM — Marsha K. Westberry, 69, of Windham, passed away peacefully at her home on Sept. 10, 2012.

Born in Saco on Dec. 19, 1942, she was the daughter of Elmer and Pauline Forsberg Lund. She attended Saco schools and was a graduate of Thornton Academy.

She worked at First National after high school, for several years. She met her husband of 43 years, Don, and the life they shared was full of love and happiness. Their love was one of a kind, like no other and was admired by all.

She loved the water, whether it was the ocean, lake or Joyce and Dave’s pool, with her children, grandsons and nieces and nephews. The Fourth of July was a huge family event, as well as the holidays, her favorite time of year. The memories that she helped create are many, and are full of laughter, love and fun.

She was full of pride for her husband, children and grandsons. The enjoyment that they gave her was amazing. She was the matriarch of the family, full of support, guidance and nurturing. If one was having a bad day, talking with her would make it all better, and put a smile on your face.

After Don passed away, she and her son continued with the family business, Sprinkler Services, which was founded by Don in 1991.

She was predeceased by her husband, Donald.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Lisa of Standish; her loving son, Darrell of Windham; two sisters, Carol Merritt of Windham and Kim Jacques of Buxton; three brothers, Kenny Lund of Standish, Eddie Lund of Windham and Vincent Lund of Buxton; her three grandsons including Clinton Willey of Naples; a great-grandson, James Willey of Naples; and many special nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours were held on Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Road, Windham. A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Arlington Cemetery, Roosevelt Trail (Route 302) in North Windham. For online condolences, please visit the website  www.dolbyfuneralchapels.com
