Marilyn Rider, 52

NEW GLOUCESTER — Marilyn Rider, 52, originally of New Gloucester, died unexpectedly in her sleep on Nov. 11, 2012.

Her family would like everyone to remember her as the fun loving woman she was, and her contagious laugh that was hard to miss.

Marilyn enjoyed cooking for everyone and prided herself as the “hostess with the mostest.” Marilyn enjoyed sharing stories of her childhood with her family and was always fond of family gatherings. She enjoyed horseback riding, traveling and family cookouts. One of her uncles gave her the nickname of “Bubbles” because of her bubbly personality. Marilyn loved singing even if she wasn’t in tune and no one cared because she shined while doing it.

She is survived by her four children, Rebecca, Tyler, Shelby and Isaac; four grandchildren; her sister, Annie Morse of Casco; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and relatives.

A gathering to pay their respects to Marilyn’s family was held at the Amvets Hall in New Gloucester on Sunday, Nov. 18, at 1 p.m.
