Marie Martin Reilly

HIRAM — Marie Martin Reilly, 100, of Hiram died on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Springbrook Center in Westbrook with loving family by her side.

She was born in Limington on Aug. 16, 1914 and was educated in Limington schools.

She worked for several years at Apple Acres in Hiram, and for many years at I.T.T. Vulcan Electric in Kezar Falls.

Marie was a faithful member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Limerick. She enjoyed cooking, crafts, crocheting and quilt making in her spare time. She also liked traveling and dancing, but enjoyed spending time with her loving family and friends most of all.

She was predeceased by her first husband, John Martin; her second husband, Michael Reilly; two sisters, Louise Wisniewski and Barbara Sukeforth; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Martin of Hiram; as well as four sons, Israel Martin of Marshfield, Mass., Paul Martin of Hiram, Tony Martin of Boscawen, N.H., and Roger Martin of Franconia, N.H.; two stepdaughters, Ann Marie Sheedy of Scarborough and Marilyn Reilly of South Portland; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours were held on Monday, July 13, at Watson, Neal & York Funeral Home, 71 Maple Street, Cornish. A funeral Mass was on Tuesday, July 14, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 19 Dora Lane, Limerick.
