LAKELAND, FLORIDA — Marie G. Burke, 89, formerly of Bridgton, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018, in Lakeland, Florida.

She was born in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. She was the daughter of Leon Hulse and Minnie Falkenburg Hulse. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Norman R. Burke.

Marie wore many hats throughout her life. She worked as a mobile home park manager in Lakeland, Florida, a bank teller in Brick, New Jersey, and a library secretary for Lakehurst Naval Air Station in Lakehurst, New Jersey, from which she retired. She was also a pharmacy tech at Cumberland Memorial Hospital in Bridgton.

Marie is survived by her children, Sherry L. Chesbrough and Robert B. Burke, who both live in Lakeland, Florida. She is also survived by four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild on the way.

The family will be having a service at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida, on Friday, June 22, 2018.
