NAPLES — Marian G. Leavitt, 86, of Naples, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016, at Norway Center for Health and Rehab.

She was born Nov. 21, 1930, in Westbrook, to James and Annie Gurney.

Marian married the love of her life, Roger Leavitt, who passed away in 1985. She and Roger were co-owners of Kings Snack in Naples. She worked at Renys in Bridgton, but is mostly remembered for her many years of employment at Bridgton Hospital until her retirement. She continued to stay employed and worked at the Naples Public Library through the Green Thumb program.

Marian was a longtime member of the Pondicherry Chapter #192 Eastern Star in Bridgton, and the Naples, Casco, Raymond American Legion Auxiliary #155, where she served as chaplain for many years.

She will be fondly remembered for her love of dancing, whether she was waltzing or square dancing.

Marian is survived by her daughter, Tonya Payne; “daughter” Connie Madura of Naples; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Hall Funeral Home, 165 Quaker Ridge Road, Casco, on Monday, Dec. 5. Online condolences may be left for the family at hallfuneralhome.net
