ROCKMART, GEORGIA — Marguerite Louise Frisbie Dale, 86, of Rockmart, Georgia, passed away Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016.

She was born on May 10, 1929, daughter of the late Bertrand Francis Frisbie Jr. and Grace Aileen Lord Frisbie. She was of the Universalist faith. She was married to the late Joseph Wesley Dale on July 22, 1949.

Mrs. Dale graduated from Bridgton Academy, class of ’47, in Bridgton, Maine. She was valedictorian of her class. She attended Gorham State Teachers College for two years in Gorham. On May 19, 1982, she was awarded a certificate for the Clerical program at Coosa Valley Tech in Rome, Georgia. In Aug. 18, 2004, she earned certificates for Computer Application Specialist and Office Assistant, a diploma in Business and Office Technology, and graduated with Honors from Coosa Valley Tech.

One of the joys of her life was spending summers in her childhood house in Bridgton, which has been in her family for over 100 years. While in Maine, she was an active member of the Norway Book Club.

Mrs. Dale was a devoted mother to her two surviving sons, Anthony and Barry Dale. Also surviving Mrs. Dale are her two daughters-in-law, Becky Dale and Mary Beth Manning; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service for Mrs. Dale will be held in the summer at Bridgton Academy Chapel in Bridgton; date to be determined.
