M. Louise King

M. Louise King, 94, of Bridgton, died March 8, 2011 of complications due to pneumonia. Louise was born in Dorchester, Mass., August 10, 1916. She moved to Bridgton at the age of two with parents Charles and Mary (Murphy) Berry, along with her brother Howard and sister Ella. She was educated in the Bridgton school system. During WWII she worked for Hamilton Standard in Groton, Conn. While there she met her soon-to-be husband. She moved back to Bridgton in 1943. Louise worked at several jobs in Bridgton, including The Damsite restaurant, the Wyonegonic Resort in North Bridgton, the hospital at 6 Main Hill, J.R. Mains and retired from Bridgton Hospital in 1981. She enjoyed giving holiday parties with her friends and also sending cards to family and friends. She enjoyed traveling but most of all enjoyed all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her two daughters Pamela and Suzanne King, four grandchildren: Terry, Daryn, Debora and Timothy and four great-grandchildren: Shawn, Leeann, Wensday and Indigo.

She is predeceased by her brother Howard Berry, sister Ella Timberlake and her son Randy.

Funeral Services were held Saturday, March 12 at 2 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, South High Street, Bridgton. Interment will be in the spring at Forest Hills Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared with her family at www.andrewsgreenleaf. com
