EAST CONWAY, N.H. — Louise M. Wales, 84, formally of East Conway, N.H., died Friday, Jan. 7, 2011 at a Brunswick hospital.

She was born in West Fryeburg, a daughter of Harry and Nina (McAllister) Morrey Sr. and was educated in Fryeburg schools, graduating from Fryeburg Academy Class of 1944. Louise was employed by Hall and Smith, Fryeburg Clothing and Kenerson’s Five and Dime store. Her last 10 years of her employment was with Shaw’s in North Conway, N.H. Louise attended the New Church in Fryeburg and was a member of the Red Hat Society.

She was predeceased by her husband Vernon, who died in 1992; a grandson; and two brothers, Harry “Bud” Morrey Jr. and Alfred “Yonka” Morrey.

She is survived by a son, Robert Wales of Fryeburg; a daughter, Judy Soper of Brunswick; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours were held Wednesday, Jan. 12, at Wood Funeral Home, 9 Warren Street, Fryeburg. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m., Jan. 13 at the funeral home.
