Lorraine Harmon

Lorraine S. Harmon, 81, of Bridgton, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016 at Bridgton Hospital.

Lorraine was born in Bridgton on May 8, 1934, the daughter of Kenneth and Dorothy (Yates) Smith. She attended Bridgton schools and graduated from Bridgton High School.

Besides being a homemaker, Mrs. Harmon worked at Lake Region schools in food service for over 30 years.

On Oct. 28, 1954, she married Alphonso “Phonie” Harmon.

She enjoyed road trips, gardening, sewing, knitting and was an animal lover. She also was a member of the Eastern Star and the Bridgton Methodist Church.

She is predeceased by her parents; a son, Dana Harmon; a daughter, Sheryl Harmon; and a brother, Rayburn Smith.

Lorraine leaves behind her husband of 64 years; a daughter, Wanda Thompson of Bridgton; a grandson and a granddaughter.
