Loring C. Morrell, 73
STEEP FALLS — Loring Clayburn Morrell, 73, of Steep Falls died peacefully on Sunday, April 12, 2015 in the comfort of his own home after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Loring was born on March 18, 1942 in Windham, a son of Phillip and Arline Smith Morrell. He attended local schools from grade school up to high school. He worked at Herman Shoe, McGuire & Jones, General Electric, Hill Loma, and the SAD 6 school district. Loring had many hobbies that included fishing, gardening, woodworking and antique automobiles.
Besides his parents, Loring was predeceased by his beloved wife Kathleen “Katy†M. Morrell of 42 years; his three younger brothers, Sheldon Morrell, Kirby Morrell, and Keith Morrell; his stepson, James “Skip†E. Spaulding; and a grandson.
Surviving are two sons, Clay Morrell of Baldwin and Scott Morrell of Limington; a daughter, Deanna Martin of Limington; two stepdaughters, Kathleen “Roxanne†Robertson of Limington and Vineta Webber of Florida; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a large loving extended family.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 2, at 1 p.m. at Steep Falls Cemetery on Route 113 in Steep Falls. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wnyfuneralhome.com
