Lois J. Lachance

CASCO — Lois Jordan Lachance, 87, of Casco, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2011, at Bridgton Hospital.

She was born in Standish, the daughter of Edwin and Edith (Wheeler) Brown. She and her first husband, William Jordan, lived in Lebanon, N.H., for 30 years before moving to Maine. They were very involved with politics.

Lois was very artistic; she enjoyed painting, sewing, and loved music. She was an accomplished violinist and pianist. She was also a graphoanalyst.

She was predeceased by her first husband, William Jordan; and her second husband, Marcel (Pete) Lachance. She was also predeceased by a brother, Neil Brown.

Lois is survived by three sons, Peter Jordan of Harrison, Paul Jordan of Grantham, N.H. and David Jordan of Bridgewater, N.H.; stepchildren, Peter Lachance of Buxton, Greg Lachance of Raymond and Gary Lachance of Carrabassett Valley; a sister, Betty Smith of York; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Woodlawn Cemetery, Westbrook. Arrangements are by Blais & Hay Funeral Home, Westbrook.
