Lions Student of the Month: Molly Christensen

Molly Christensen of Sebago has been selected as the area Lions Clubs’ “Student of the Month” for February.

Each month, area Lions Clubs recognize a Lake Region High School senior who has excelled academically. The recipient is honored at a Lions’ dinner meeting and is presented a monetary award.

Sports teams: Field hockey and lacrosse.

What do you like most about school? Sports and friends, helps balance the schoolwork part and makes it fun.

What is your biggest challenge in school? Math, although it is my favorite subject it’s also my hardest.

What is your favorite subject? Math, it’s interesting and I love when I learn something and really understand it.

If you could change one thing about school, what would it be? To get everyone more involved in school activities. It’s important to be involved with other students.

What characteristics do you believe a good teacher should possess? Show authority but be able to connect with students and truly care about students work and be willing to help them with whatever they need.

What goals did you hope to achieve during your high school days? Have fun, get good grades and get into college.

What do you hope to do in the future in terms of career, and why are you headed in that direction? Go to University of New England for dental hygiene.

What do you think it will take to be successful in the future? My dad has always told me it’s about attitude and effort. With a good attitude and hard work I can be successful with any thing.

What lesson have you learned while at Lake Region High School that will help you in the future? High school has taught me how to maintain academics, sports and friends.
