Lions Student of Month: Jessica Johnston

Jessica Johnston of Bridgton has been selected as the area Lions Clubs’ “Student of the Month” for December.

Each month, area Lions Clubs recognize a Lake Region High School senior who has excelled academically. The recipient is honored at a Lions’ dinner meeting and is presented a monetary award.

Activities: Western Maine Youth Hockey, Black Flies Hockey.

Community activities: Assist with learn to play hockey, help coach house team.

Hobbies: Automotives, hockey, nail art, photography.

Future plans: Photographer.

What is your favorite class? JJ. English, because I love literature.

What is your toughest class? JJ. Math, because I don’t understand it.

How do you balance your class work and your extracurricular activities? JJ. Set aside time for schoolwork.

What is the biggest challenge high school students face today? JJ. Planning for the future.

Who has inspired you educationally? JJ. (LRHS teacher) Sandy Arris, because she is very inspiring in my photography class.
