Reed Bridge-Koenigsberg of Naples has been selected as the area Lions Clubs’ “Student of the Month” for January.

Each month, area Lions Clubs recognize a Lake Region High School senior who has excelled academically. The recipient is honored at a Lions’ dinner meeting and is presented a monetary award.

Hobbies: My major hobbies are golf, track and field, drama, music and taking care of my sheep.

Future plans: To attend a four-year college to study environmental science.

What is your favorite class? Marine Biology, because I really enjoy how hands-on the science is.

What is your toughest class? Humanities. I have always struggled with organization and Humanities requires a lot of papers that I need to keep track of.

How do you balance your class work and your extracurricular activities? I have a calendar where I write down all the dates I have extracurricular actives and when I have papers due.

What is the biggest challenge high school students face today? Planning ahead in life while trying to live in the present.

Who has inspired you educationally? All of the teachers who have taught me to love learning.
