Linda Siegele

WHEATLAND, CALIF. — Linda Jane Siegele, 49, of Wheatland, Calif., died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014.

She was born on April 11, 1965, in Moses Lake, Wash., the daughter of Stanley and Haruyo (Ida) Richardson.
Linda married Paul J. Siegele on Feb. 10, 1985, in Norway, Maine. As a mother, wife, sister and daughter she had shown in a multitude of ways that her family was her number one passion and priority. Through tough times of anguish, pressure, sorrow and pain, Linda faced it all with patience, compassion, and love. She was a good and caring person that continued to give even when she was overlooked and taken for granted.
For over 16 years Linda served as a dedicated Human Resources Specialist for the Department of the Air Force. She gathered her new young troops under her wing, showed them the ropes and mentored them. With Linda’s encouragement and mentorship she promoted their personal and professional growth. One way was to teach them to pay it forward.
Aside from her work, Linda devoted her free time volunteering in the local community to include Hands of Hope, Special Olympics, Shriners Hospital, Muscular Dystrophy, Adopt a Highway — too many others to list. Both the Department of Defense and the local community recognized Linda’s robust volunteer service. Linda possessed a great sense of humor and enjoyed going to the movies, shopping and eating out. On an outing to Target, shopping would not begin before stopping at the snack bar and getting herself a bag of popcorn and a Coke slushy.
Linda is survived by her husband of 29 years; her son Matthew J. Siegele and wife Sabrina; her daughter, Jennifer P. Valdez and husband Daryl; grandchildren, Stephanie and Daniel; her father Stanley Richardson and wife Jan; her brother Robert Richardson; her sister Janet Schwarz and husband Eric; and her brother Dean Richardson and wife Helen; nieces and nephews, Ian Schwarz, Kate Schwarz, Steven Richardson and Jennifer Richardson; and her two beloved dogs, Godzilla and CowCow.
