Lewis E. Barker

GRANBURY, TEXAS — Lewis Edwin Barker, 82, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011 in Granbury, Texas.

Lewis was born Oct. 12, 1928, in Bridgton, to Edwin Kimbell Barker and Ruby May Decker Barker. He married Carolyn Johnson in 1950 in Virginia. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 2006; brothers, Earl Barker and Raymond Barker.

He is survived by his children, Carolis Mask of Lampasas of Texas, Alexis Crawford of Knoxville, Tenn., Terrance Barker of Maryville, Tenn., Glennis Carter of Crousville, Kermit Barker of Cape Carol, Fla., Laurelea Wilkinson of Granbury, Texas and Shawn Barker of Fort Worth, Texas; 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Lawrence of South Paris; brothers, Merl Barker of Waterford and Richard Barker of Casco.

A funeral service was held Tuesday at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury, Texas.
