Kenneth W. Woodman Sr.

PORTLAND — Kenneth Walter Woodman, Sr., 73, of Portland, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2012 at the Barron Center, surrounded by his family after a long illness.

He was born on May 18, 1938 in Eastport, the son of Ralph and Audrey (Nash) Woodman.

Ken had many interests, especially working on cars and camping. He worked as a construction laborer for many years with Bancroft-Martin and also owned a TV repair business. Ken was a “Jack-of-all-trades.”

He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Richard; a sister, Beverly; and two nephews.

Ken is survived by his children, Kenneth Woodman Jr., Ernestine Woodbury of Windham, James L. Woodman of Portland and Benjamin of Raymond; his brother, David of Woolwich; sister, Joyce Ward of Dennysville; a half brother, Paul of Eastport; a niece; 10 grandchildren; and his ex-wife, who remained a close friend, Patricia (Bass) Woodman.

A celebration of Ken’s life will be held on Saturday, May 12 at 1 p.m. at the Riverside Cemetery in Woolwich followed by a get-together at the home of David and Bonnie Woodman in Woolwich.
