FRYEBURG — Kenneth R. Frost Jr., 54, of Fryeburg, passed away peacefully at Maine Medical Center on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, after a long illness.

Ken was a longtime woodsman and farmer. He also worked at M&M Alloy, where he met his wife. He was forced to leave the foundry for a kidney transplant 33 years ago, and was one of the longest-surviving transplant receivers in the state of Maine. Additionally, he worked as a certified nursing assistant in a local nursing home, and was a landscaper for many homes in the Town of Fryeburg.

Ken is survived by his mother, Anne Frost of Bridgton; his three sisters, Ramona, Julie and Marsha; two brothers, Peter and M. “Shane”; his wife, Holly Frost; his two children, Kenneth R. Frost III and Carol Frost; several grandchildren, and many other loved ones.

He is predeceased by his father, Kenneth R. Frost Sr.; and his brother, Walter Frost.

Services will be held for Ken at the East Fryeburg Church of Christ on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to Maine Medical Center, Floor R5, the Renal floor, Portland.
