Kelly Dunham

Lovell — Kelly Dunham, 77, of Lovell died at the Maine Medical Center on September 2, 2010.

He was born in Fryeburg on July 4, 1933 the son of Esmond K. Dunham Sr. and Ida M. Farris and was educated in Fryeburg schools.

Kelly was an extraordinary carpenter and worked as a general contractor for many years. He had a lifelong fascination with how things worked and how they were built. When he was 17 years old he raced in the first season of Oxford Plains Speedway. His love of history led him to be active in the Lovell and Fryeburg Historical Societies; the Maine Antique Tractor Association and the Maine Antique Power Association.

During his busiest working years he also devoted time to many community activities like Fryeburg Rescue, the Jaycees, Lovell and Fryeburg Fire Departments, Lovell Old Home Days, the Lovell Planning Board and the SAD 72 School Board. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Irene (Allen) Dunham of Lovell; one son Richard and his wife Barbara of Cape Elizabeth; one daughter Coffee Hopler and her husband Burt of Howland; one sister Frances Dunham of Fryeburg; three grandchildren Kelly Sage and her husband Ryan of Enfield, Irving McInnis and his wife Jennifer of Milford and Katie Beth Dunham of Cape Elizabeth and three great-grandchildren Reed Derosier of Enfield and Rylee McInnis and Carter McInnis both of Milford. Visiting hours will be held at the Raymond-Wentworth FuneralHome, 8 Elm Street, Bridgton on Friday evening from 6-8pm.

Graveside services will be held at the #4 Cemetery in Lovell on Saturday at 2pm. Immediately following please join the family in sharing memories of Kelly's life at their home on Route 5.
