Kathryn H. Miller

Kathryn Hazel Curtis Miller, 94, of Bridgton passed away on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010 surrounded by family at Bridgton Hospital.
Kay was born in Rochester, Vt. on Jan. 29, 1916 to George and Ella Warner Curtis. She attended Rochester schools and relocated to Bridgton in 1961.

Kay was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She belonged to the Hospital Guild and the South Bridgton Grange. She also enjoyed writing the social news for the Sandy Creek area (where she lived) for The Bridgton News. The last 15 months, Kay had resided with her son Neil and his wife Janet in Bridgton.

Kay is survived by six sons, Fletcher McIntyre of Rutland Vt., David McIntyre of Concord Vt., Donald McIntyre of North Conway, N.H., Ernest Lawrence of Randolph Vt., Neil Lawrence of Bridgton and Larry Thomas of Clovis N.M.; stepchildren David Thomas Jr. of Bridgton and Louise Braley of Royalton, Vt.; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Kay was predeceased by her husband George Miller; brothers Howard, Edward and Richard Curtis; and a sister, Louise McIntyre.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 16, at the Forest Hills Annex Cemetery in Bridgton with Rev. Dick Bennett officiating.
