Kathleen Steeves

NORTH SACO — Kathleen L. Steeves, 85, of Mast Hill Road, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015, at her home.

Kathleen was born on Aug. 5, 1930, in Saco, the daughter of Arthur and Leora Berry Tapley. She was educated in the Saco school system and lived her entire life in Saco. She drove school bus for the Saco schools for over 30 years. She looked forward to seeing the little ones and she was known for running a tight ship.

Kathleen enjoyed the outdoors, spending time in the garden and running a vegetable stand.

She was predeceased by her parents and a son, Dennis.

Kathleen will be sadly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her husband Noble Eugene Steeves; and four children, Roxanne Grant of Farmington, Bruce Steeves of Raymond, Vivian Parenteau of Windham and Laurie Steeves of Brownfield; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of her Life was held Wednesday, Dec. 16 at the North Saco Congregational Church. Pastor Gerry Scribner officiated. Burial followed at South Buxton Cemetery, (Woodman Section). Dennett, Craig & Pate, 365 Main St., Saco, are in charge of the services.
