HARRISON — Katherine M. Cormier, 60, of Harrison, beloved wife of Richard Cormier, whom she married in 1975, left this world unexpectedly on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016.

She was born in Farmington on Oct. 26, 1956, the daughter of Ruel “Rudy” and Ernestine “Petie” (Wells) Leavitt. She graduated from Edward Little High School in Auburn. She owned and managed The Printery in Bridgton for 32 years.

In recent year’s, she had taken time off to spend with the loves of her life, her beloved daughter, son and grandchildren, including attending Jake and Ally’s games and performances. She was their number one fan. She played countless hours of Monopoly with her grandchildren, taught them how to cook and bake and even rode bikes with them. Her two-year-old grandson, Miles, brought her so much joy, they had a very special love for one another.

Kathy was the soul of her family and always took care of everyone. She was always in the kitchen lovingly preparing food for the many gatherings that she hosted, from family reunions, birthday parties and most recently Thanksgiving dinner. She and Richard would, without hesitation, welcome family and friends into their home. Kathy was the kindest, most loving person. She taught her family about patience, selflessness and unconditional love. Her heart was so full that it could not hold anymore. Our hearts are broken and we miss her desperately.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 41 years, Richard of Harrison; her children, Jennifer L. Domegan and her husband James of South Paris and Brian R. Cormier and his wife Nancy M. Cormier of Poland; grandchildren, Jake P. and Allison K. Domegan and Miles Cormier; her siblings, Debbie Hebert and her husband David, Barry Leavitt and wife Lorrie and Paula Rouillard and her husband Ron; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her mother and father.
