NEW GLOUCESTER — Kara A. O’Reilly, 31, of San Diego, Calif., formerly of Portland, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010.
Born in Portland on July 7, 1979, she was the daughter of Brian G. and Rosanne Fickett O’Reilly. She was educated in New Gloucester schools and was a 1998 graduate of Gray-New Gloucester High School. Born with an adventurous spirit, she loved to travel. Kara moved to San Diego five years ago. She was kind and generous to all she met.
Kara was predeceased by her mother in 1997.
Survivors include her beloved father, Brian of Westbrook; her paternal grandparents, Benjamin O’Reilly of Westbrook and Beverly and Rusty MacLeod of Harrison, her maternal grandfather, Frank Fickett of South Portland; two brothers, Ryan Patrick O’Reilly of San Diego and Erik Michael Fickett O’Reilly of Portland; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
