Juanita W. Perkins

Juanita W. Perkins, 85, of Main Street, Lovell, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012 at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway.

She was born in New Castle, Indiana, a daughter of Melvin Wilkinson and Violet Waitman Wilkinson, and was educated in Lovell, Fryeburg, and Boston schools. Juanita was a teacher at Westbrook Jr. College and Lexington High in Lexington, Massachusetts. She was a bookkeeper for the town of Lovell for many years, a homemaker, and a photographer. She belonged to the greater Lovell Land Trust. She was an avid and active member of the North Country Camera Club, a member of the Lovell Historical Society, an avid member of the Appalachian Mountain Club, former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW, and founding member of the Lovell Youth Ways.

She is survived by a son Eric of Lovell, and a son Chad and his wife Tonya of Augusta; one grandson Will of Fryeburg; and four step-grandchildren, Bailey Brookings of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Laurn Brookings of Cape Elizabeth, Aurora Franks of West Gardiner, and Walker Franks of Raymond, New Hampshire.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at 1 p.m. at #4 Cemetery in Lovell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fryeburg Rescue, P.O.
