John H. Paskewicz

WINDHAM — John H. Paskewicz, 58, of Windham, died on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

He was born in Portland on April 8, 1952, the son of the late John R. and Dorothy (Demmons) Paskewicz. Mr. Paskewicz was a graduate of Windham High School and furthered his education at Westbrook College receiving a bachelor’s degree in Business.

Mr. Paskewicz was a U.S. veteran, who served his country honorably in the Navy and Army during the Vietnam War and resumed his career retiring from the National Guard.

Mr. Paskewicz was a hard-working man who held many jobs. He worked many years in sales in various industries before leading into the Department of Corrections for 20 years as a Senior Correction Officer. He was also part of the Maine Correctional Center Cert Team.

A loving father, grandfather and comedian, he enjoyed the history of the Civil War, and watching the History Channel. He was an avid motorcycle rider, hunter and scuba diver.

Family members include his children, John P. Paskewicz of Saco, Kellie Paskewicz of Windham and Wendy Paskewicz of Sebago; four grandchildren; his brothers, Michael Paskewicz of South Portland, Richard MacDonald of Windham and Fred MacDonald of Windham; a sister, Betty Lou Buck of Windham; and several nieces, nephews and cousins; his fiance, Lorrie Libby of South Windham and her three children.

He was predeceased by two brothers, James and Francis MacDonald.
