John Meserve

John C. Meserve, 64, departed this life on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012.

John was born in Providence, R.I. and was a native of East Bridgewater, Mass. and a resident of Bridgton.

John was the son of the late Clyde and Helen Meserve of East Bridgewater, Mass. and beloved husband of Mary Meserve of Bridgton. He was loving father of two sons, Michael Meserve of Bridgton and Steven Meserve of London, United Kingdom.

He is also survived by brothers Wayne Meserve of East Bridgewater, Mass. and Bruce Meserve of East Bridgewater, Mass.; a sister, Joanne Coles of East Bridgewater, Mass.; and three grandchildren.

John was born and raised in East Bridgewater, Mass. and a graduate of East Bridgewater High School. In high school, John earned his electrical license and owned a successful electrical contracting business for over 40 years.   Additionally, John and his wife Mary owned and operated Meserve Travel and Cruise Center until they both “retired” to quiet life of Maine.

John will always be remembered for his quiet and thoughtful personality. John enjoyed the Bruins, Patriots, cooking, working on projects in his garage and around the yard and more than anything else, time with his three grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, John’s wishes were donations may be made to the Meserve Grandchildren’s College Fund, care of Norway Saving Bank, attention Jennifer Damon, Bridgton, ME.

His wife, Mary, and their sons would like to invite all family and friends to a celebration of life gathering on Sunday, Nov. 18 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the family home located at 58 Quarterhorse Drive in Bridgton.
