John Anderson

GRAY — John “Jack” Anderson, 65, of Gray, passed away on Aug. 25, 2011, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

Jack was born in Westbrook on July 1, 1946, to Carl and Marjorie Taylor Anderson. After graduating from Westbrook High School in 1964, he served four years in the U.S. Army, doing three tours of Vietnam with the 173rd and 82nd Airborne Units. He then worked for the New England Telephone Company, retiring in 1994 from NYNEX.

Jack was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and fly fisherman. But above all, he was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and the best “grampa” ever.

He is survived by his wife Rhonda (Nelson); daughter Brett Webster; a granddaughter; and two brothers, James of Westbrook and Jeff of Harrison.
