Joan Buker

Joan Buker, 70, passed away at 
the Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton, Mass. 
on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016 after a 
year-long illness.

Joan was born in Milton, Mass. 
and was a graduate of Milton High School. For many 
years, she had worked for the Gately, Morgan and Gilfoyle Insurance 
Company in Randolph, where she had worked as an agent.

Joan enjoyed 
hunting with her husband and loved to travel. She especially enjoyed 
her trip to Africa. The place closest to her heart was her home in 
Sweden on the lake, where she enjoyed entertaining and 
cooking for her friends and family. Joan loved life and was loved by all 
who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Howard C. 
Buker of North Easton, Mass.; her two sisters, Barbara Shute of South 
Hadley, Mass. and Beatrice Hopkins of Mansfield, Mass.; and 
several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be at Elm Vale Cemetery, Waterford on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016 at 11 a.m. All family and friends are welcome.
