Jeanne Mathews

PORTLAND — Jeanne Donna Mathews, 79 of Portland, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016, following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Portland, daughter of Maxin and Ernestine (Linscott) Corbeau.

Jeanne attended Cathedral School. She worked at the Temple Street parking garage for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also loved to play bingo and enjoyed her many trips to the casino.

She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur E. Mathews.

She is survived by a son, Michael A. Mathews of Windham; daughters, Pamela Beth Cartonio of Baldwin and Terry J. York of Portland; a sister, Dorraine Ward of Portland; a brother, Donald Corbeau of Portland; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 8, 2016, at Jones Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford Street, Portland. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 9 at St. Joseph’s Church, 673 Stevens Avenue, Portland. Burial followed at Calvary Cemetery, South Portland.
