Jean M. Littlefield

SOUTH PARIS — Jean M. Littlefield, 81, of Stoneham, passed away at the Maine Veterans’ Home on Sunday, March 25, 2012.

She was born in Stoneham on Nov. 4, 1930, the daughter of Bernal and Nellie McAlister. She was educated in Stoneham and Norway High School. Jean lived many years in Auburn and was employed by W.T. Grant, Stearns Meats, and numerous shoe factories in Lewiston-Auburn, and lastly at Melby’s Store in Waterford.

She married Earl T. Littlefield on April 28, 1948. They were married for more than 50 years, and he predeceased her in November 2000. She was later predeceased by her companion, Enfield Wilson, in 2011.

She is survived by daughters Monika Spooner and Regina Sullivan; a sister, Virginia Luneau; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Flanders.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 30, at the Hillside Cemetery in Stoneham. Arrangements are under the direction of the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin Street, Rumford.
