Janet (Sullivan) Potter, 90

BROWNFIELD — Janet Marie (Sullivan) Potter, 90, of Brownfield, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2015.

She was born in Boston, Mass., on May 16, 1924. She grew up and later raised her family in Quincy and Weymouth, Mass., before moving to Brownfield, in 1980.

Janet’s greatest joy was to spend time with her family. She also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and taking care of her family and home.

Janet was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Irving D. Potter Jr. in 2011; her parents; and three brothers, Arthur, Robert and Paul Sullivan.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Potter and wife Lauren of Brownfield, and Richard Potter of Edgartown, Mass.; daughters, Christine (Potter) Popowitz and husband Stanley of Edgartown, Mass., and Janet (Potter) Quinn and husband William of Brownfield. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Taryn (Potter) O’Connell, Derek Potter, Ryan Potter, Keith Quinn and Kerrin (Quinn) Lyon; as well as nine great-grandchildren: Emery, Camryn, Noah, Harper, Darby, Sabrina, Logan, Avery and Owen.

The family will be celebrating Janet’s loving and devoted life as a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother this summer.
