Jamie Mantz

Jamie C. Mantz, 53, of Bridgton, formerly of Medfield, Mass., died unexpectedly, Tuesday, June 5, 2018, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born on May 9, 1965, in Milford, Mass., a daughter of Stanley G. and M. Carol (Coghlin) Strom Sr. She attended local schools in Medfield and went on to work in ophthalmology.

Jamie enjoyed cooking and photography. She also was an ice skater growing up, with shows and competitions, and later helped with skating lessons. Other activities she enjoyed were camping and skiing. Jamie had been working as a waitress in Bridgton.

She is survived by her children, Austin Mantz, Courtney Mantz, Kyle Mantz and Elliot Mantz; a brother, Stanley G. Strom Jr. and his wife, Carol of Portsmouth, N.H.; a sister, Karen Kelson and her husband, Brian of Turner; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister AnnMarie Hollis.

Family and friends were invited to a time of memorial visitation from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, June 11 at the Chandler Funeral Home, 8 Elm St., Bridgton. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 12, at St. Joseph Church, 225 S. High St., Bridgton, Maine 04009. Private family interment will take place at a later date at the Vine Lake Cemetery in Medfield, Mass.
