Jacqueline Anzelc

RAYMOND — Jacqueline (Jacques) Anzelc, 80, of Raymond, died on Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, at her home.

She was born in Caribou on Aug. 13, 1930, the daughter of the late Alfred and Cecile (Ouellette) Jacques. Mrs. Anzelc was a graduate of Skowhegan High School with the class of 1948. Following high school, she started her family raising nine brilliant children who all thought they were her “favorite.”

In her later years, she retired as church secretary from Our Lady of Perpetual Help in North Windham and St. Hyacinth’s Catholic Church in Westbrook.

She enjoyed time with family and friends while playing games, communicating on her computer, attending plays and lunch dates. She was also an avid reader, enjoyed writing poetry and was active within her church.

She shared 59 years of marriage with Richard Anzelc of Raymond.

In addition to her husband, family members include her nine children: Susan Fenton of Gorham, Rick Anzelc of Skowhegan, Aaron Anzelc of San Diego, Calif., Sally Fisher of Knoxville, Tenn., Pamela Anzelc of Portland, Mark Anzelc of Medina, Ohio, Linda Huitt of Poland, Laura Haley of North Reading, Mass. and Amy Moynihan of Chelmsford, Mass. She was known as “Memere” to her 15 grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and 14 step-great-grandchildren. She was also survived by siblings, Della Kyes of Skowhegan, Ethel Taylor of Kittery, and Fr. Alfred Jacques of Skowhegan; as well as numerous loving nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by siblings, Natalie Daniels and Leon Jacques.

Visitation was held at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Road, Windham, on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Route 302, North Windham, on Friday, Sept. 17.
