Ivory M. Sanborn Jr.

MANCHESTER, CONN. — Ivory M. Sanborn Jr., 64, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2012, at Manchester Memorial Hospital in Manchester, Conn., after a long illness.

Ivory was born in Rochester, N.H., on Aug. 2, 1947, to the late Ivory and Dorothy Sanborn. Ivory was raised in Rochester, where he attended local schools.

In 1969, Ivory moved to Manchester, Conn., where he met his wife of 40 years, Margaret Broadt. Ivory was employed by Dexter Paper Mill in Windsor Locks, Conn. until his retirement due to illness.

He is survived by his wife Margaret; his son William J.; his stepmother Olive F. Sanborn of Bridgton; his three brothers, Clifton I. Sanborn of Manchester, Conn., Robert C. Sanborn of Stafford Springs, Conn. and David L. Sanborn of Wolfeboro, N.H.; his sister, Carole L. Sanborn of Falmouth; his stepbrother Roland Nadeau of Windham; his stepsisters, Connie Upson of Naples and Patricia Gagnon of Old Orchard Beach; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 14, at Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester, N.H., where a memorial service was held on Tuesday, May 15. Burial followed at Mt.
