Hope E. (Macdonald) Parrott, 82

SAUGUS, MASS. AND SOUTH CASCO — Hope Elizabeth (Macdonald) Parrott, 82, of Saugus, Mass., and South Casco, passed away peacefully Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015, at her son’s home with her husband by her side.

She was born in Framingham, Mass., on Feb. 27, 1933, the daughter of Frederick and Mary Johnson Macdonald. She moved to Saugus as a child and graduated from Saugus High School in 1950. She married the love of her life, Charles (Enky) Parrott, on Jan. 23, 1955. She was a stay-at-home mom, raising her four children.

She leaves behind her husband of 60 years, Charles (Enky); her sons Chas and his wife Jane Parrott, and David Parrott, all of Harrison; her daughters Jeanne O’Reilly and her husband George, Christine Tretola and her husband Michael all of Saugus, Mass.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and a brother Frederick Macdonald of Orleans, Mass. A graveside service was held Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, at 1 p.m., at Riverside Cemetery, 164 Winter Street, Saugus, Mass. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or the Arthritis Foundation. Arrangements are under the care of Chandler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 45 Main Street, South Paris, Maine.
