Helena Lamson

STANDISH — Helena May Lamson, 77, of Standish, passed from this life to the next on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Ledgewood Manor in Windham.

She was born in Augusta on June 19, 1937, the only child of Elaine (Ingalls) and Clifton Moxcey. She was a graduate of Greely Institute, where she was captain of the swim team and basketball team.

Over the years, Helena worked as an administrative assistant in health care. She enjoyed her flower gardens, bowling, going to the beach, spending time with her friends and especially spending anytime, anywhere with her grandson, Dustin.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Donald Lamson of Standish; her daughters, Leanne Ross of Virginia and Candace Libby of Raymond; and her grandson.
