Hallie P. Lund

HIRAM — Hallie P. Lund, 66, of Hiram, passed away peacefully with her family at her side at Maine Medical Center on Friday, July 29, 2011.

Hallie was born on Dec. 29, 1944, in Manhattan, N.Y., where she was raised and continued on to graduate from high school. She held a variety of jobs including waitress, factory worker, seamstress, secretary, and most recently, home health care.

Hallie was a devoted wife and a loving supportive mother. She loved watching her children grow and blossom into honest, hardworking members of society.

Hallie loved to travel and embarked on countless adventures throughout her life while doing so. She was a firm believer in the “Live and Let Live” policy and an avid supporter of social justice. She was also an organ donor, and because of this, two individuals will now be able to see and enjoy life in the many ways that Hallie did.

When Hallie could find time in her event-filled life, she would re-kindle her love affair with art. She had an eye for crafts and colors and put it to wonderful use, creating many works of art for her family and friends at any chance she was given. No wall or shelf was ever left naked or colorless.

Hallie will be greatly missed by her husband of 26 years, Michael P. Lund; son Joseph Lund; daughters Amy Muldoon of New York and Jessica Muldoon of California; two grandchildren; and former husband John Muldoon of Portland.
