HARRISON — The Harrison Recreation Department’s 11th Annual 5K Run by The Lake offered a t-shirt design contest for this year’s race t-shirts to all students at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.

New this year, overseen by Art Teacher Cynthia Kugell and Miranda Murphy and Britta Anderson, 5K T-Shirt Crew working alongside her, proved to be a huge success! On June 5, the winner was announced by OHCHS Principal Theodore Moscia.

Congratulations to artist, Gunnar Docos, a freshman from Harrison. Although race officials had many great entries to choose from, Gunnar’s was chosen for his extremely detailed art work, an amazing and original design which included all four design requirements, and his very own design idea, which contributed to bringing on a very new, fun and exciting twist to the 11th annual 5K this year!

Gunnar was awarded a $100 cash prize! Look for his fantastic artwork on the awesome Run by the Lake race t-shirts!

Officials thank all contest participants who submitted entries and to Cynthia Kugell, Miranda Murphy, Britta Anderson, Theodore Moscia and winner, Gunnar Docos!
