Gregory Larson

Gregory Randall Larson, 63, passed away suddenly on Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, while hiking on Mount Jefferson in New Hampshire.

He was born in Eugene, Oregon on Dec. 12, 1950, the son of Harold Bin and Zoe (Thompson) Larson. He was a graduate of Washington State University. Greg came to the East Coast in 1976 to work at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, where he was employed as a nuclear engineer. He has since resided in Maine. He was an avid hiker, played bridge and golf and enjoyed helping his wife, Christine, with landscaping.

Members of the family include his wife Christine (Matick) Larson of Bridgton; his mother, Zoe (Thompson) Larson of Richland, Washington; his siblings, Peg Jones of Washington State, Jeff Larson and David Larson, both of Richland, Washington and Kathy Meade of Maryland; nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, Harold Bin Larson.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
