Gordon Linneken

PORTLAND — Gordon E. Linneken, 64, formerly of Raymond, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough surrounded by his family and friends.

He was born in Portland, a son of Gordon C. and Virginia (Collins) Linneken. He graduated from Portland High School and worked in various automotive ventures. He eventually opened Strictly Brakes & Exhaust in Portland with his dad. He later became the sole owner/operator of the shop and continued to operate it until his retirement in 2002. After his retirement, he spent time relaxing on Sebago Lake, working in the yard, snowmobiling and always taking time enjoying the nature surrounding him.

He was predeceased by his parents; and his brother, David Linneken.

He is survived by his loving wife, Susan L. Marston and numerous extended family members.

Friends and relatives are invited to a time of visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Jones Rich & Barnes Funeral Home, 199 Woodford Street, Portland, where a memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery on a later day.
