Glen ‘Wes’ Winn, 75

RAYMOND — Glen “Wes” Winn, 75, beloved husband of Christine, passed away unexpectedly from complications secondary to a fall, on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his death.

He was born in Portland on Aug. 7, 1938, the son of Clifford and Ruth Winn.

He was a gifted athlete. Those who saw him on the baseball diamond in his prime admired his skill and prowess, and remembered his accomplishments up to the present day. He continued to enjoy athletics throughout his life, and was frequently in attendance at the sporting events of his grandchildren. He was always very proud of his family.

He was also an avid sportsman. An accomplished hunter and fisherman, he thoroughly enjoyed the natural beauty of his state. He retired from the railroad after many years of service.

He was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Childers; and his granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Christine; his daughters, Christine Nichols and Deborah Monck; sons, Stephen Winn, Richard Winn and Clifford Winn; his sister, Ruth M. Serappa; and his 11 grandchildren.
