WINDHAM — Gladys P. Hill, 90, of Windham, died on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010, at a local nursing home.
Gladys was born in Windham on April 29, 1920, the daughter of James R. Pratt and Grace Weeks Pratt. She attended Windham schools, graduating in 1939. Gladys worked at the former S.D. Warren Mill for 26 years. She retired in 1982.
Her first husband, Stanley T. Kinghorn, died in 1980. She married Charles “Bud” Hill on Jan. 11, 1986. He died in 1994.
Gladys is survived by her stepchildren, Barry Hill of Bridgton and Jean Bennett of Windham; sisters, Catherine Johnson of Cumberland Foreside, Mary Churchill of Limington, Margaret Fletcher of Gorham and Grace P. Burns of Windham; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours were on Friday, Oct. 29, 2010, at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Road, Windham. The funeral service was held on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010 at the Highland Cliff Advent Christian Church, 96 Highland Cliff Road, Windham, with the Rev. Dave Patterson officiating.
