HIRAM — George H. Larracey Jr., 76, of Hiram, formerly of Portland, died on April 16, 2011, at Hope Hospice of LeHeigh Acres, Fla., after a long illness.

He served nine years in the U.S. Air Force and was plant manager of Allied Chemical Coatings Shoe Factory in Saco for many years. He owned and operated George’s Barber Shop for 21 years in Portland.

George was born in Albion, the son of Rita and George Larracey Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Hope Doughty; his father, George Sr.; and three brothers, Gerald and Todd of Maine, and Allen of Massachusetts.

Interment will be at Brooklawn Memorial Park of Portland; date to be determined.
