Geneva M. Kenison

SOUTH PARIS — Geneva McDaniel Kenison, 93, of Bridgton, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2012 at the Maine Veterans Home in South Paris with her family at her side.

She was born on April 20, 1919, the daughter of F. Harold and Elfreda McDaniel.

Geneva married Clifford Kenison on Jan. 14, 1939. They resided in the Oxford/Norway area briefly before establishing their home in Bridgton, where they raised their family.

Geneva was a lifelong member of the Second Advent Christian Church of Bridgton. Her life revolved around church and family activities. She loved sewing, writing to friends and was a member of her church’s missionary group. Geneva was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Geneva is survived by her son, Paul Kenison of Portland; daughter, Debra Albert of Bridgton; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Clifford; and her daughter, Lorraine Moore, in 1998.

Services were held Tuesday, June 5 at the former Advent Christian Church on Lower Main Street, Bridgton.
