Fred Heald

FRYEBURG — Fred Calvin Heald, 84, passed away peacefully at his home in Fryeburg on Saturday, July 8, 2017, surrounded by his family.

He was born in North Chatham, N.H. on Nov. 9, 1932, a son of the late Herman Sr. and Marion (Charles) Heald.

Fred will always be remembered for his hard work ethic and desire to provide for his family. Over the years, he worked at several farms and upon “retiring,” he started a handyman business and worked throughout the Fryeburg area up until the point his health limited him.

Fred is predeceased by siblings, Merle Heald, Philip Heald, and Mary Heald Benson.

He is survived by his wife of 62 plus years, Jeanne (Gain) Heald; children, Donna Ridley and her husband Gary of Littleton, N.H., Dennis Heald and his partner Cleto of Brooklyn, N.Y., Debra Aceto and her husband Ed of Portland, Diane Cassidy and her husband Tom of Littleton, N.H., and David Heald and his wife Wendy of East Conway, N.H.; brothers, Herman “Junior” Heald Jr. of Fryeburg, and Russell Heald of Santa Rosa, Calif.; grandchildren, Brian, Chantelle, T.C., and Marguerite; and several nieces and nephews.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
