Frances P. Pike

WATERFORD — Frances P. Pike, 84, of Waterford, passed away Monday, Aug. 23, 2010 at her home, with her family by her side.

She was born in Ned, Ky. on Sept. 6, 1925, the daughter of Ambrose and Elissa Francis. She married Wendall A. Pike. She had been a homemaker and a caregiver all of her life and held a variety of manufacturing jobs.

She was a loving, giving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her flower and vegetable gardens and building rock walls. She was an avid quilter. She enjoyed spending time with her close friend of many years, Chester Barker.

She is survived by her children, Ernest Pike of Waterford, Brenda Bigonski of Waterford, Joan Christman of South Paris, Thomas Pike of Oxford and Marie Keene of Waterford; many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Bertha of Norway, Maude of New Hampshire and Mabel of Missouri; a brother, Ed of Washington; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband; and several brothers and sisters.
